During a Bentley-sponsored luncheon on Monday, attendees will learn from Dr. Hill how costly this problem can be for those who don't address it. In his talk, Dr. Hill will discuss NIST's recent study that identified efficiency losses in the U.S. capital facilities industry totaling almost $16 billion annually from "inadequate interoperability among computer-aided design computer-aided design (CAD) or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), form of automation that helps designers prepare drawings, specifications, parts lists, and other design-related elements using special graphics- and calculations-intensive , engineering, and software systems." Following his presentation, Dr. Hill will participate in a question-and-answer session moderated by Dr. Jeff Hollings, senior vice president of Bentley Plant.
