Bentley Systems Bentley Systems, Incorporated, provides software for the "Design, construction and operation of the world's infrastructure". The company’s software serves the building, plant, civil, and geospatial vertical markets in the areas of architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) , Inc., (Exton, PA) today announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Scarponcini as geoengineering market and technology executive. With over twenty years TWENTY YEARS. The lapse of twenty years raises a presumption of certain facts, and after such a time, the party against whom the presumption has been raised, will be required to prove a negative to establish his rights.

In this new position, Dr. Scarponcini will be a high-level advisor for new products including Objective MicroStation(TM) and ModelServer Continuum(TM). He will also be the lead product designer and project manager for the Intelligent Transportation Information System focusing on products and technologies to address the lifecycle needs of the transportation market place. Dr. Scarponcini will continue to be an active participant in industry organizations and the key contact for Bentley with the OpenGIS Consortium (OGC OGC Office of Government Commerce (UK government)

Previously, Dr. Scarponcini was a key technologist at Graphic Data Systems (GDS), for specifying the next generation of object-oriented software products. He also contributed to a number of large scale geoengineering projects, including the city of Aurora, Colorado The City of Aurora is the third most populous city in the State of Colorado and the 59th most populous city in the United States.[5] The municipality is split between Arapahoe County and Adams County, with a small portion lying in Douglas County. , where he introduced computer-aided engineering and database technologies for the design and construction of roadways.

In addition, he earned a Master's and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His dissertation integrated artificial intelligence with graphics and database technologies to enable automated spatial reasoning about CAD drawings and GIS maps.
