Bentley Releases New Geoengineering Tools; Promotes Jean-Baptiste Monnier, Ph.D., to Senior Vice President of Geoengineering Business Group.

Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Exton, PA), today announced new and updated productivity tools for geoengineers, planners and tax assessors.

Also, Dr. Jean-Baptiste Monnier was promoted to senior vice president of the Geoengineering Business Group.

MicroStation GeoParcel

MicroStation(R) GeoParcel(TM) is a new product that removes the mystery of geographical information systems (GIS) for municipal governments and land managers. Its interface and workflow operations are tailored for land planners and tax assessors.

By streamlining workflow and data-management processes, MicroStation GeoParcel spatially enables cadastral information throughout the enterprise. Using Bentley's ModelServer Discovery(R), MicroStation GeoParcel can also make information available to the public at large.

MicroStation GeoGraphics 7.1

The latest edition of MicroStation GeoGraphics will be released coincident with MicroStation/J(R) 7.1 and will include expanded functionality for network analysis and a visual SQL database browser. MicroStation GeoGraphics 7.1 comes bundled with MicroStation GeoDefiner, a powerful subset of MicroStation GeoCoordinator. With MicroStation GeoDefiner(TM) you can:

-- Add a coordinate system definition to an existing file

-- Read coordinate system definitions

-- Track or read-out coordinates in any defined coordinate system

-- Place labels in master or reference coordinate systems

MicroStation GeoGraphics 7.1 can now be integrated with ProjectWise(TM) to provide document management functionality. Users can now access ProjectWise Vault data directly from their GeoGraphics sessions. The GeoGraphics maps can now be registered in a ProjectWise Vault.

ModelServer Discovery Imaging Edition ModelServer Discovery is a Web-based publisher for geoengineering enterprises. By allowing anyone to dynamically view and query MicroStation GeoGraphics(TM) and other DGN-based projects, it lets planners, engineers and managers navigate their geoengineering projects from a Web browser.

ModelServer Discovery now includes ModelServer Imager(TM technology, high-performance imager server technology that supports client/server imaging over networks and the Internet, from HMR.

Earlier he served as sales manager at Intergraph France. Dr. Monnier also served as engineering group manager at Dumez, a large international E&C firm, and held an R&D position at the French National Scientific Center, CNRS.

Dr. Monnier holds a PhD. in Mechanics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and an Executive MBA from the "Centre de Perfectionnement aux Affaires" in Paris, and an BS in Energy Engineering from INSA in Lyon, France.
