WALTHAM, Mass. -- Select international faculty will gather at the Bentley Global Business Ethics Workshop June 18 - 22 at Universidad Pontifica Comillas in Madrid, Spain. Established in 1991 by Bentley's internationally-recognized Center for Business Ethics, the workshop helps faculty integrate ethical and corporate social responsibility (CSR (1) (Customer Service Representative) A person who handles a customer's request regarding a bill, account changes or service or merchandise ordered. Agents in call centers are known as CSRs. See call center. ) issues into their curriculum.

The five-day program includes an eclectic group of educators from around the world. Their goal is to explore new techniques to enable students to raise their own ethical awareness and improve their ability to make rational, ethical choices in the business world.

The workshop is limited to 20 participants - eight Bentley faculty, as well as professors from Instituto De Empresa Business School IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa) is an independent, educational institution, consistently ranked among the top 15 business schools worldwide. "It is hard to talk about business today without putting it in an international context," says Tony Buono, coordinator of the Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility and one of the workshop facilitators. "The same is increasingly true of business ethics and corporate social responsibility - the international location shows that the concern for teaching ethics knows no boundaries."

Since its inception, more than 100 of Bentley's business and liberal arts faculty and 32 international faculty have participated in the workshop. Opening to faculty outside of Bentley in 2004, the program has received an overwhelming domestic and international response.

The faculty workshop kicks off on Monday, June 18, with the third annual Bentley Global Business Ethics Symposium, a day-long, public conference sponsored by State Street Corporation.
