Company Deploys Senior Executives to Globalize Bentley Integration

Network, Reconfigure Operations in Americas, and Launch State and

Local Government Solutions Group

Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced organizational changes and executive promotions to augment the Bentley Integration Network and to launch a state and local government unit for North America.

Warren M. Winterbottom, formerly Senior Vice President of the Americas Operating Unit, has been appointed Senior Vice President, Bentley Integration Network. His charter is to deliver on the vision of a worldwide, coordinated and branded network of substantial, quality-controlled systems and service integrators deploying Bentley's E/C/O (engineering/construction/operations) solutions for national and multinational accounts.

The principal architect of Bentley's distribution strategies in the Americas, Winterbottom said he was honored to assume a global role in a program so vital to the success of Bentley and its channel. With many more resellers poised to become Bentley Integrators, he will direct the growth of the Bentley Integration Network as a premier solutions resource for E/C/O projects around the globe.

Bentley Integrators are firms that meet the demand for comprehensive engineering IT solutions by combining Bentley products, other software systems and related services, including outsourcing and hosting through Bentley's Viecon Network. Combined with Bentley's internal Team Bentley group, the Bentley Integration Network's project teams work interchangeably, cooperating in staffing, internal training and business development. Bentley maintains a minority equity interest in all Bentley Integrators, and the company stands ready to serve its Bentley SELECT(R) accounts as prime contractor.

Reorganization of Operating Unit structure in the Americas

John Riddle, formerly Vice President of Public Sector, will take over responsibility for Bentley's North American operations. His background as Director of Federal Sales at Intergraph makes him ideal for advancing Bentley's "one-to-one" account initiatives for 2001. In this new role as Vice President, North America Operating Unit, he will report to Malcolm Walter, COO.

Operations in Latin America and the Caribbean will continue to be run by Oscar Elizaga, Vice President, who will now report to Ted Lamboo, Senior Vice President, International. This structure more effectively consolidates the unique localization and programmatic aspects of Bentley's international activities.

New State and Local Government Solutions Unit for North America

Bentley also announced the formation of a new unit within Bentley North America, led by Robert C. Wonderling, who has been promoted to Vice President, reporting to John Riddle. The new group includes Bentley Transportation, headed by its President, Ray Pittman, which is the leading provider of permitting/routing and other intelligent transportation management systems to state departments of transportation. Prior to joining Bentley in 1999, Wonderling held executive positions for Pennsylvania's state government, including Deputy Secretary of PennDOT.

Especially by virtue of its recent acquisition of Intergraph Corporation's civil engineering business line, in combination with its GEOPAK Strategic Affiliate, Bentley is the major provider of infrastructure creation technology in North America. The new State and Local group reflects the priorities of Bentley and the demand from leaders of public infrastructure organizations for continued IT innovation and collaboration to integrate engineering information for construction and asset-management.

It will also coordinate the Viecon Public Works Network, Bentley's new initiative that uses the Internet to achieve greater collaboration and constituent service levels between municipal public works directors and their trusted professional resources in engineering contracting firms.
