Bentley Announces Winners of 2005 BE Awards of Excellence.BALTIMORE -- At this gathering of more than 2,000 attendees, Bentley Systems, Incorporated today announced the winners of the 2005 BE Awards of Excellence, which honor the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving the world's infrastructure. Thirty-three projects in the professional portion of the program received BE Awards during the BE Conference in Baltimore, Md. These projects set benchmarks for their industries, and showcase the imagination and technical mastery of the organizations that created them. In the academic portion of the program, a BE Award went to the Educator of the Year and to the top three student designs. The winners were announced during a dinner and ceremony hosted by Alan Farkas of Farkas Berkowitz & Company, a Washington-based management consulting firm specializing in infrastructure, and co-sponsored by McGraw-Hill Construction, publisher of Engineering News-Record. The independent panel of BE Awards jurors, which included accomplished Bentley users and distinguished industry experts, selected the winning projects from more than 200 nominees.
