Jacobus has extensive collective experience in the plant industry -- executives and senior management at the company average over 16 years' experience developing, implementing, and supporting applications for plant engineering and design. Jacobus is the first company to complete an object-oriented system for plant engineering and design and the only company to provide an open system that allows users to incorporate and use plant data from competing plant systems for a variety of purposes.

Jacobus will continue independent operations of the company's technology development and activities. In addition, Jacobus will oversee new sales and marketing structures that will achieve greater penetration of the plant industry by Jacobus and Bentley.
