Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Exton, PA) today announced a new version of PlantSpace(R) Piping that runs within the MicroStation(R) TriForma(R) 7.1 engineering configuration. The new version can now leverage all the power that MicroStation TriForma offers, as well as share data with all the other products that run on MicroStation TriForma.

With PlantSpace Piping running on MicroStation TriForma, users can interactively route piping among and check for interferences with structural elements, HVAC ducts, and plant machinery and equipment. All the data for PlantSpace Piping and other disciplines is managed from a single database. The user benefits from the integration by having access to all the various products for sectioning, parts lists, quantity take-offs, etc.

Other enhancements in PlantSpace Piping 7.1 include new intelligent line capabilities for increased user productivity, speed enhancements to spec synchronization, multiple projects in the same database for increased database management flexibility and multiple standards (ANSI, DIN, Manufacturer std, etc.) support in the same project for better support of global projects. PlantSpace Piping V7.1 also contains new features specific to the requirements of pharmaceutical, microprocessor, food and beverage, dairy and biotechnology projects including new fittings catalogs and support for multiple end conditions on the same fitting. In all, there are over 150 enhancements in this release. PlantSpace Piping lets users do more--and do it faster, better, and consistently.
