Benthos Appoints Two to Executive Management Team.

NORTH FALMOUTH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 2002

BENTHOS, INC. (NASDAQ: BTHS) announced today that it has appointed Alvaro J. Robleto to the position of Director of Engineering and has also appointed Richard B. Martin to the position of Director of Materials.

Mr. Robleto, age 49, was most recently Director of Systems Engineering for the Optical Networking Division of Verilink, Inc., Boston, MA. Prior to that, he was Director of Systems Integration, OPENet for Lucent Technologies in Hyannis, MA. He holds a BS degree in electronics engineering technology from the University of Nebraska and a master's degree in computer engineering from Florida Atlantic University.

Mr. Martin, age 44, was formerly the Materials Manager for Danaher Corporation - Pacific Scientific in Wilmington, MA. Prior to that, he was the Materials Manager for C&K Components, ITT Industries in Newton, MA. He holds a BS degree in business administration specializing in materials management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
