Benson's bark from the dead.A BOXER dog plunged off a 400ft cliff into the sea - then walked into a pub more than a week later. Owner Martin Greenwood had given Benson up for dead after seeing him run over the edge as he photographed a sunset. Lifeboat crews and cliff rescue teams searched in vain for the pet. But eight days after his fall at Lynton, the dog walked into the Exmoor Sandpiper sandpiper, common name for some members of the large family Scolopacidae, small shore birds, including the snipe and the curlew. Sandpipers are wading birds with relatively long legs and long, slender bills for probing in the sand or mud for their prey—all Inn in nearby Countisbury, Devon.
