Bensal for Molten Aluminum Service.

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1998--Benchmark Structural Ceramics Corp. manufactures structural ceramics and specialty refractory refractory

Recently Benchmark has developed Bensal(tm), a sialon-based reaction bonded material, suitable for molten aluminum service. Benchmark believes the qualities of its Bensal tubular tubular /tu·bu·lar/ (too´bu-lar)

Thermal shock is the name given to cracking as a result of rapid temperature change. Glass and ceramic objects are particularly vulnerable to this form of failure, due to their low toughness, low thermal conductivity, and high
strength, allowing it to be immersed im·merse

Based on this new development, Benchmark started to produce one end closed protection sleeves: thermocouple protection tubes and heater tubes, and both ends open vertical immersion immersion /im·mer·sion/ (i-mer´zhun)
