"The visual interpretation of the Bennigan's in Bloomsburg is a different layout for us," said Michael Solorzano, Bennigan's franchise director. "The bar is horseshoe-shaped and creates an open environment for guests. We think the Bloomsburg community will embrace the restaurant." This is franchisee Mike Kelly's third location in Pennsylvania. He and business partner Susan Keefer also own and operate the Bennigan's in Wilkes-Barre and Clarks Summit. "We've planned to open a Bennigan's in Bloomsburg for quite some time," said Kelly. "The restaurant has a modernistic design with an open bar that was created to increase the interaction of people around the bar. This is a neighborhood restaurant that's perfect for families as well as the college population in Bloomsburg." In addition to the bar, the restaurant also features an area for live music, an outdoor patio, flat-screen TVs and seats up to 220 customers. Bennigan's menu offers a full line of soups, salads, appetizers and entrees with an Irish influence.
