 Teleports Inc., today announced that Ronald Bennett has joined the company as Vice President of Technical Services. He will report to Sr. VP and General Manager Bradford Briggs and will serve on MTN's leadership team.

Ron Bennett, 53, joined MTN from Advanced Communications System, Inc., where he served as Systems Engineer for the past 5 years. There he performed as Technical Consultant for the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM NEXCOM Navy Exchange Service Command

) and implemented NEXCOM's personal telecommunications service and the first ever-commercial personal e-mail system installed on Navy ships. For 2 years prior to that, he served as Principal Analyst at C-Cubed Corp., where he supported Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command by assessing how commercial satellites could be implemented to support digital transmission of data, voice, and imagery for Navy ships. He joined the Navy in1972 and enjoyed a long career as a Naval Officer for more than 20 years with experience in the industry of satellite connectivity and equipment. He retired from the Navy in 1993, but still maintains close relationships with the Navy organization.
