Bennett Environmental Signs Three Agreements with Leading Korean Companies.


VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 1997-- Bennett Environmental Bennett Environmental TSX: BEV AMEX: BEL is a Canadian company based in Oakville, Ontario. It specializes in the recovering of soils contaminated with chlorinated hydrocarbons, including PCB's and PCP's, Dioxins and Furans.  (ME BEV.)--Bennett Environmental Inc. Under the terms of this agreement, Korea Cottrell and BEI will work exclusively with each other in penetrating the Taiwanese market for small (100 tonne per day) municipal waste incinerators. This is an excellent business opportunity for BEI, since Taiwan intends installing a series of these units.

The second agreement is with Ssangyong Engineering, a large Korean engineering firm. BEI and Ssangyong will work together in the remediation of municipal landfills.
