OAKVILLE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2003

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announced today that Bennett Environmental will be added to the S&P/TSX Composite Index Composite Index

A grouping of equities, indexes or other factors combined in a standardized way, providing a useful statistical measure of overall market or sector performance over time. Also known simply as a "composite".
 as of the close of trading on December 19, 2003. Bennett Environmental will also be added to the S&P/TSX Small Cap and S&P/TSX Industrial Indexes.

Benefits of inclusion are increased market demand for the Company's stock from purchases from Index and some mutual and pension funds as well as increased attention and greater visibility for the Company's stock.
