Most of us vaguely know about Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein. Bennett, a professor of English studies English studies is an academic discipline that includes the study of literatures written in the English language (including literatures from the U.K., U.S., Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, South Africa, and the Middle East, among other , saw the YA appeal of the story of Mary's life, and created this fictional portrait. Yes, there were drugs involved as well.

Bennett is a skilled writer and this fictional biography is certainly compelling in a horrifying kind of way. Mary Shelley is a woman modern young women should know about, and this novel is a good introduction that leads to an understanding of what drove her to create the monster Frankenstein.
