Benjamin J. Trosky promoted to managing director at Pacific Investment Management, two named EVPs and four promoted to SVP.


NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 1996--Benjamin J. Trosky has been promoted to managing director of Pacific Investment Management Company, one of the nation's largest fixed-income managers with more than $76 billion in assets under management Assets Under Management (AUM) is a term used by financial services companies in the mutual fund and money management or investment management business to gauge how much money they are managing. .

The firm also named R. Wesley Burns and Lee R. Thomas, III, as executive vice presidents and Douglas M. Hodge, Edward P. Rennie, Ernest L. Schmider and Leland T. Scholey as senior vice presidents.

Thomas, 44, is a portfolio manager specializing in international fixed income and foreign exchange investments. He joined the firm in 1995 following six years with Investcorp, where he managed global securities and foreign exchange trading Foreign Exchange Trading or FX Trading, clients are able to hedge against, or speculate upon, changes in the exchange rate of two currencies. He is a member of the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law  and the California Bar Association.

Scholey, 43, joined the firm in 1983 and specializes in account management. His 20 years of investment experience includes portfolio manager of fixed income and equity securities with The Boston Company, First Interstate Investment Advisors and Merrill Lynch. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of The Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.
