Benjamin Continues Breaking as Sophomore Album Puts Them ``Alone'' at Platinum.


BURBANK, Calif. -- Hollywood Records Hollywood Records is a record label owned by Disney. It mainly focuses on pop music. The label was started in 1989 and initially distributed by Elektra Records in the US and Canada until 1995 when distribution switched to PolyGram (which became Universal Music Group in 1998. :

Hollywood Records rock band Breaking Benjamin's name is an apt description of their ongoing success.

Thanks to a pair of #1 Active Rock tracks in "Sooner or Later" and "So Cold," the group's sophomore album, "We Are Not Alone," has shipped more than 1 million units since its release last June 29, which makes it eligible for platinum certification by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America, Washington, DC, www.riaa.com) A membership association of music recording companies. Its goal is to promote the record label industry and protect the rights of copyright owners. It was a major contributor to the SDMI digital distribution system. . The album has scanned more than 900k units in less than a year.

The group's next single, "Rain (2005)," is a new version of the album track by the record's producer David Bendeth (Vertical Horizon). This new take will be added to the next production run of "We Are Not Alone" and will ship to Modern and Active Rock radio on June 9 for a June 20 add date.

Breaking Benjamin recently performed a live acoustic Live Acoustic (Nettwerk) is an EP by Sarah McLachlan. It was released on May 31, 2004 in Canada only.
