The national venison venison (vĕn`ĭzən) [O.Fr.,=hunting], term formerly applied to the flesh of any wild beast or game hunted and used for food but now restricted to the flesh of members of the deer family. feeding ministry Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry will once again be offering its Eastern Shore Benefit Hunt for rutting whitetails on Maryland's Eastern Shore, hosted by Bowliunter's "Huntin' Whitetails" Columnist C.J. Winand and hunt donor Steve Rupert. Deadline for entering is September 15, 2003. A donation of $10 is suggested (but not required) with each entry. The FHFH Eastern Shore Benefit Hunt will take place November 17-21, 2003. The winner will be responsible for airfare and meals, but FHFH will pick up the winner at Baltimore-Washington International Airport and escort him or her to the hotel and hunt lease.
