BMCA's grant came from the spirited effort of employees throughout the United States who donated both their time and resources to collect donations for the fund.

A growing number of leading companies have contributed toward the $12 million goal of the Burned Churches Fund. To date, 79 burned churches have been voted rebuilding grants and more grants are being processed.

The Rev. Dr. Albert M. Pennybacker, associate general secretary for Public Policy for NCC, said, "The NCC is deeply thankful for the generous concern shown by Beneficial and its employees.
