Bendata offers HEATLink to Lotus Notes.

Bendata was purchased in 1999 by FrontRange Limited (formerly iXchange), based in South Africa. It was then merged with another FrontRange Limited property, GoldMine Software.
 Inc., a leading supplier of support center software, has joined forces with Lotus to offer a powerful addition to its HEAT for Windows software.

The program, HEATLink to Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling. , allows users to view HEAT data from within Lotus Notes.

The HEATLink engine pulls call ticket data from HEAT for Windows. The HEAT for Windows data is then transferred into the Lotus Notes database where it can be viewed by Notes users. Call tickets can be viewed in one of seven pre-defined categories and sort orders or in customized categories.

The link is a particularly useful tool for support center managers. It makes it easy to monitor open call tickets, call status and duration of calls without launching HEAT or running a report.

With the release of HEAT for Windows version 2.0, featuring the new automatic ticket generation, users can automatically open a call through HEATLink with Lotus Notes via e-mail, again reducing the number of calls to the support center.
