COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998--Bendata Inc. today announced that HEATWeb, a module of its HEAT support management software, is now available free of charge with each purchase of the HEAT system. Consistent with Bendata's vision that mission-critical functionality be available as part of the core offering, HEAT customers can now leverage the power of the Internet without purchasing additional software.

HEATWeb improves analyst productivity and client satisfaction by giving agents mobility and allowing them to access real-time call details bi-directionally, at any time. HEATWeb gives analysts immediate access to the latest call information from any Web-enabled workstation at a remote client site or through their intranet. Agents can remotely acknowledge, reassign or resolve their assignments, and add, modify or close calls just as they do from their desktops. HEATWeb also allows customers to open, view, modify and close their own call tickets, and perform self-help as an alternative to contacting the support organization.

By providing HEATWeb free of charge, Bendata is again raising the bar in the mid-range support marketplace. Earlier this year Bendata included Manager's Console, a device that lets managers see the overall status of their operations at a glance, in the HEAT product at no extra cost to customers. HEAT Answer Wizard, a powerful tool for simplifying management reporting, was also included at no extra cost. And a native integration with 3Com's PalmComputing platform is available free to all HEAT users.
