Bend music festival tickets go on sale soon.
Cuban, French and American musicians will be featured during this year's Cascade Festival of Music in Bend.
The festival will open Aug. 23 and continue through Labor Day weekend in Drake Park.
Under the direction of Murry Sidlin, festival artists will include pianists Misha Dichter and Horacio Gutierrez; American composer, fiddler and violinist Mark O'Connor; Cuban singer Albita; Les Yeux Noirs (Gypsy/Yiddish) from Paris; and the Irish group BOHOLA.
Caitlin Tully, a 15-year old violin prodigy, will play the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the festival orchestra on Aug. 25. A young people's concert on Aug. 26 will feature young local pianists Adam Bratton and Melissa Davis in a two-piano J.S. Bach concerto.
Festival tickets are available to donors now; general ticket sales will begin June 16. Prices range from $15 to $33. Student and senior discounts are available.
