The following honorees are Silver-level members of the Detroit Regional Chamber

Cynthia J. Pasky, president and CEO of Strategic Staffing Solutions Inc. In Detroit and a member of the Detroit Regional Chamber's board of directors, will be honored with Vista Maria's 2004 Woman of History Award at a ceremony on May 15. Vista Maria is Michigan's largest treatment agency for abused and neglected girls and their families. Its Woman of History Award recognizes women who have reached a high level of achievement in their careers. Carol Gove, executive director of the National Association of Women Business Owners-Greater Detroit Chapter (NAWBO), nominated Pasky for the award.

Walbridge Aldinger Co., a full-service construction company based in Detroit, is registered to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard. The standard has 58 additional requirements including several processes for customer satisfaction and continual improvement measures and reviews.

Southfield-based Barton Malow Co. received four awards at the 2003 Metro Detroit American Heart Walk Awards Ceremony, including the Gold Heart Award for raising over $36,000. Tim Maguire, Barton Malow's safety coordinator, won the Silver Team award for leading his Heart Walk team in raising over $11,000. Barton Malow is celebrating its 80th anniversary in the construction industry this year. The company was founded in 1924 by Carl Barton as the C.O. Barton Co. Arnold Malow joined the firm three years later, and in 1932 it became the Barton Malow Co.

Auburn Hills-based Rock Financial (Silver) and Southfield-based Plante & Moran LLC (Bronze) were both named to Fortune magazine's 2004 list of "The Best Companies to Work For." Rock Financial was No. 13 on the list and Plante & Moran No. 18. Plante & Moran, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, was ranked for the sixth straight year.

The following honorees are Bronze-level members of the Detroit Regional Chamber

Community Legal Resources named Clark Doughty, a partner in Bodman, Longley & Dahling LLP's Detroit office, its Volunteer for the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2003 for assisting two nonprofit organizations with real-estate transactions.

The American Concrete Institute designated Ken Lozen, an associate at NTH Consultants Ltd. in Farmington Hills, the position of ACI Fellow. This recognition honors Lozen's significant contributions to ACI and the concrete repair industry.

Bernie Glieberman, president and CEO of Crosswinds Communities Inc. In Novi, received a 2003 Judge Augustus Woodward Award from the Friends of Woodward Avenue for his accomplishments with the Wood-ward Place condominium development in Detroit's Brush Park neighborhood. Woodward Place also received a 2003 Outstanding Planning Project Award from the Michigan Society of Planning.

Pepper Hamilton LLP's Website at www.pepperlaw.com earned the "Best Legal Web Site" award in the 2003 WebAwards competition organized by the Web Marketing Association. The site earned high marks in every judging category, including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, navigation and ease of use. Also: Barbara Rom, a partner in Pepper Hamilton's Detroit office, was certified by the American Board of Certification as a specialist in business bankruptcy. Only 14 attorneys in Michigan have received this distinction.

Southfield-based Schostak Brothers & Co. received a Merit Award for Community Service in the Corporate Category at the MAXI Awards Ceremony during the International Council of Shopping Centers fall conference in Las Vegas. The MAXI Awards Program recognizes excellence in shopping center marketing.

Ann Brighton, a legal secretary in the Southfield office of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, received certification as a Professional Legal Secretary by NALS, the association for legal professionals.
