SPOKANE - They watch from the bench, and some games that's all they do.

Maybe there are a couple of minutes for Adam Zahn, maybe not. Chamberlain Oguchi Chamberlain Oguchi (born April 28, 1986 in Houston, Texas) is a Nigerian American college basketball player. A 6'5", 190 pound shooting guard at the University of Oregon, he is also a member of the Nigeria national basketball team. His nickname by friends and family is Champ.  gets in every game, if not always for long.

In a season of great accomplishments for Oregon, there are the Ducks who don't have nearly as much to show for their efforts as their teammates who dominate the playing time. When Oregon beat Miami on Friday in the first round, three reserves played a total of 26 minutes, and 18 of those went to Joevan Catron.

In today's game against Winthrop in the second round, there's no assurance of any more minutes for any of those Ducks who didn't play Friday.

Platt said. `The overall big picture is this team is here, that makes it great for everyone.

`We just see it in a bigger sense. Any guy who says they enjoy not getting minutes is lying to you. We try to figure out (other) ways we can contribute and win games.'

If they don't have the statistics to show what they've done, UO coach Ernie Kent Ernie Kent (Born January 22, 1955 in Rockford, Illinois) is the current head men's basketball coach at the University of Oregon. He has been the Ducks' coach since he replaced Jerry Green after Green left for University of Tennessee after the 1996-97 season.  said it would be better to measure their impact by what they haven't done: display their displeasure.

`That's why we're where we're at, because guys like Mitch Platt and Ray Schafer haven't rocked the boat,' Kent said. `They've been great teammates.'

Kent offered an example from the title game of the Pac-10 tournament, when Bryce Taylor Bryce Taylor is an American college basketball player at the University of Oregon. The 6'5", 205 pound junior guard is currently averaging 14.6 ppg and 5.1 rpg. High School  launched the final shot of his perfect 11-of-11 shooting performance.

,' Kent said.

`That's something you can't put a price on, how valuable that is for our chemistry and our rhythm.'

The least-used scholarship Ducks have been Platt (didn't play in eight of past 14 games), Schafer (minutes in half of the past 10) and Churchill Odia (didn't leave the bench in 10 of past 14).

`It's not fun, but at the same time, I'm a team player and I want the best for my team,' Odia said.

Kent continually talks about a time that will come when the Ducks need more of a contribution from the reserves, and he usually singles out Oguchi, who late last season developed into Oregon's top offensive threat.

Oguchi was starting and averaging nearly 14 points through five games this season before an ankle injury put him out for four weeks. He never regained his starting spot, nor his shot.

`I'm always ready to go,' Oguchi said. `I've been through this before, it's nothing new to me, and I've just got to keep chipping away, chipping away.

`We've got a lot of people playing well, and it's just one of those things.'
