Benazir Income Support Program beneficiary women to be issued Health insurance card.

PESHAWAR, January 14, 2010 (Frontier Star ): Provincial government of NWFP would issue health insurance cards to Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) beneficiary women of FATA and NWFP. Sources told this agency here on Thursday that all the women under this programme would be given health facilities of twenty five thousand rupees. Source also told through BISP, one thousand rupees are being paid to thirty thousand women and through health insurance policy these women would be given health card. These cards would be used in special hospitals where cards would be placed at installed machines and their data would be displayed and they would be facilitated. Source further told that Pakistan Peoples Party promised with the people to solve their problems after coming into power and following that promise BISP was started. Data of destitute collected at union council level in the province and in this regard further work is continued. During first phase 3.5 million people benefited from this programme and due to its completion this programme has been doubled. Condition of bank account for distribution of money has been removed after objections and now people are receiving this amount through postal services. Government has also decided to start Waseela-e-Haq programme for widows through which these widows would be given Rs 0.3 million loan with out any interest, source added.
