BenQ Selects Silicon Optix's Reon-VX HQV Processing.

, Calif. -- BenQ has selected the Reon-VX HQV HQV Hollywood Quality Video (processor) (R) processing engine to power its new WXGA (Wide XGA) A wide screen resolution of 1366x768 pixels. See PC display modes.

 (1280x768) DLP (Digital Light Processing) A data projection technology from TI that produces clear, readable images on screens in lit rooms. DLP is used in all types of projection devices, from data projectors that weigh only a few pounds to large rear-projection TVs to electronic  projector. The SP820 projector will be available in Q4 2006.

Reon-VX HQV processing encompasses true 10-bit video processing, full four-field per-pixel SD/HD motion-adaptive video deinterlacing, SD per-pixel temporal-recursive noise reduction, SD codec (1) (enCOder/DECoder) A hardware circuit that performs analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC) conversion. When analog signals are entered into a computer, cellphone or other device via a microphone or video source such as VHS tape or analog TV,  (mosquito and block) noise reduction, and SD/HD per-pixel detail enhancement.

The BenQ projector will also take advantage of Reon-VX's exclusive advanced real-time warping and scaling engine to scale resolutions for correcting extreme keystone angles in both horizontal and vertical dimensions, or for projecting on curved or warped surfaces while maintaining full image integrity.
