Ben Scott Named Mavenir Systems' Chairman.

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Mavenir Systems, an emerging network technology company, announced today that Ben Scott, a partner in Austin Ventures, has been named chairman of Mavenir's board of directors. Scott will serve as the principal liaison between the board and the company's senior management.

With more than 30 years of telecommunications experience, Scott currently serves as chairman for Navini Networks and sits on the board of directors for Sipera, 724, Active Power, Celite Systems.

Scott is known for advising successful privately funded companies and has had tenured leadership and board positions at Spatial Wireless, IXC Communications, PrimeCo Personal Communications and AT&T's Canadian offices. He also supervised the launch of wireless company, Omnitel.
