AmpNet Technology

AmpNet, Belobox's smart network hardware platform for SANs, is the optimum solution for high volume, data-intensive enterprise applications where reliability, durability and continuity of service are imperative. Unlike any other commercial architecture, it incorporates both fault and damage tolerance Damage tolerance is the ability to withstand damage. The term is most often used in aerospace engineering to indicate the following characteristics of a component or material:
, and sub-millisecond self-healing with no loss of data. AmpNet technology has the distinguishing ability to optimize broadcast and unicast traffic for messages of any size in its hardware implemented data link layer.

It uniquely relies on soft logic in its hubs, switches, routers and network adapters, reducing the cost of hardware upgrades and maintenance. In addition to TCP/IP TCP/IP
