Belo's board of directors approves stock repurchase program and declares dividend.


DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1995--A.H. Belo Corporation today announced that its Board of Directors authorized purchases not to exceed 4 million shares of the Company's Series A Common Stock from time to time.

In addition, since 1985, Belo has had in place a repurchase program authorizing the purchase of up to $2.5 million of Company stock annually.

The Board also declared a quarterly cash dividend of 8 cents for each outstanding share of Series A stock and Series B stock to be paid Dec. 8, 1995 to shareholders of record Nov. 10, 1995.
