Bellsouth chooses Open Text Livelink Intranet suite for Web-based collaboration, doc. management needs.

ATLANTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 1996-- Open Text Corporation (OTEXF:NASDAQ) of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada today announced that BellSouth.net Inc. has chosen Open Text's Livelink Intranet suite for its internal support and collaboration needs.

BellSouth.net develops Internet and electronic commerce strategies and services, enabling BellSouth and its affiliates to offer these services to residential and business customers.

Initially, the suite will run on a single Sun/Solaris system, using a Sybase database, that connects BellSouth.net staff. The firm plans on having most users on the system by January, including engineers, software developers, marketers and product developers.
