Bellin Health System awards DAOU contract for implementation of computer network.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 1996--DAOU Systems Inc. has been awarded a $675,000 contract from Bellin Health System of Green Bay, Wis adv. 1. Certainly; really; indeed.

., for the implementation of a state-of-the-art computer network.

The enterprisewide network will link Bellin Health System with family clinics and doctors' offices located at 22 sites throughout northeast Wisconsin Wisconsin, state, United States

In designing the system, DAOU teamed with the software firm WRQ (WRQ, Inc., Seattle, WA, www.wrq.com) A software company that specialized in terminal emulation and NT-Unix integration products. Founded in 1981 as Walker Richer and Quinn, Inc., a consulting firm in minicomputer and mainframe applications, it introduced an HP terminal emulator for the  to provide Bellin with innovative solutions. The health system had traditionally used light pens on all its nursing stations and lab computers. WRQ developed software that converted the light-pen application to a mouse-driven application. That innovation saved Bellin considerable time, cost and training.
