Bellarmine to Host Robotics Tournament.Bellarmine College Preparatory Bellarmine College Preparatory is an all-male, private secondary school located in San Jose, California, USA. Founded in 1851, it is the oldest secondary school in California. The school is a Roman Catholic school in the tradition of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. : WHAT: Second Annual Bellarmine Bel´lar`mine n. 1. A stoneware jug of a pattern originated in the neighborhood of Cologne, Germany, in the 16th century. It has a bearded face or mask supposed to represent Cardinal Bellarmine, a leader in the Roman Catholic Counter Bay Area VEX Robotics robotics, science and technology of general purpose, programmable machine systems. Contrary to the popular fiction image of robots as ambulatory machines of human appearance capable of performing almost any task, most robotic systems are anchored to fixed positions Challenge. Scores of robots will battle it out for gear-grinding glory at this tournament. The regional competition will feature teams ranging from St. Francis High School of Mountain View to Will C. Wood High School of Vacaville. Bellarmine's seven teams are comprised of nearly 50 students from grades 9-12.
