Work groups and individuals can now experience the convenience and advanced capabilities of interactive messaging for as low as $9.95 a month under revolutionary new price plans introduced today by BellSouth Wireless Data for its BellSouth Interactive Paging service under BellSouth MyBiz(SM) interactive.

"We have considerably lowered the entry price point for customers to enjoy the benefits of interactive messaging to the point where it is now even less costly than most nationwide one-way alphanumeric paging services," said Jim Kelly, vice president, Interactive Paging Marketing, for BellSouth Wireless Data. "There was tremendous response by the marketplace to the $14.95 per month service promotion we offered at the end of 1999 so we've adjusted our pricing so that even more work groups and individuals can experience the power and superior capabilities of interactive messaging."

Under the $9.95 a month service plan, subscribers are allotted up to 15,000 characters. The other new monthly service plans are: 25,000 characters for $14.95; 50,000 characters for $24.95; 100,000 characters for $29.95; 300,000 characters for $49.95; and unlimited usage for $69.95. The former price plans ranged from $24.95 to $99.95 per month. These new price plans not only lower the entry price but also add additional value for subscribers in that there are now more characters for each price point.

The key feature of the BellSouth Interactive Paging service is interactive messaging, which allows users who have a RIM 950 Wireless Handheld(TM) to send and receive messages in seconds, and be notified when a message is delivered and read thanks to the service's special confirmation feature. The Interactive Paging service also allows users to send and receive Internet e-mail, send messages to fax machines and telephones.
