BellSouth Wireless Data today unveiled its strategy to become the premier wireless data network provider for wireless Application Service Providers (ASPs), including top industry partners Mobile Data Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDSI; TSE: MMD), Aether Systems, Inc., and Dynamic Mobile Data (DMD). The three partners are developing end-to-end wireless application services enabled for the BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network for key existing and new industry market segments.

Aether Systems, Inc., a leading provider of wireless data services and systems, is working with BellSouth Wireless Data to deliver a wireless proof-of-delivery solution for the transportation industry. The solution creates a business document that verifies wirelessly back to a central office that a package has been delivered transmitted wirelessly back to a central office. The solution allows delivery companies to provide customers with near real-time package delivery status information.

Dynamic Mobile Data, a leading provider of wireless application data services and systems, is working with BellSouth Wireless Data to deliver a bundled solution based on DMD's premier Internet-based dispatch package, MobileDispatch. Dynamic Mobile Data has already delivered solutions based on MobileDispatch for field service, pickup and delivery, trucking, insurance and numbers of other time sensitive field operations. MobileDispatch supports GPS, route planning, real-time data collection and integrates easily with legacy systems via the MobileDispatch data replication gateway.
