BellSouth Customer Has Chance to Win $1 Million at Braves Game Tonight.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2003

Who:      Carolyn Mitchell, BellSouth customer from Memphis, Tennessee
           and The Real Yellow Pages(R) from BellSouth (NYSE: BLS)

What:     Mitchell has been selected from hundreds of thousands of
           entries and has a chance to win $1 million from The Real
           Yellow Pages(R).

          BellSouth Advertising & Publishing Corp. (BAPCO) offered
           consumers an opportunity to participate in its $1 Million
           Shopping Spree contest.  Game pieces were attached to the
           front covers of The Real Yellow Pages delivered throughout
           the nine-state BellSouth region.

          Mitchell, a pre-school director at Capleville Methodist
           Church, will be BellSouth's guest at Turner Field tonight.
           During the evening, she will have a chance to win $1
           million by selecting one replica of a directory cover from
           a group representing 100 of the cities to which BellSouth
           distributes The Real Yellow Pages.  Mitchell will win at
           least the $25,000 prize.

When:     Friday, July 18, 2003
          Event begins at 5:45 p.m. - directory selection at about
           6 p.m.

Where:    Turner Field - Atlanta Braves home stadium on the concourse
           near the main entrance
