Lee Ellen Bell and William Perrin Weathers were united in marriage on June 22, 2002, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville. Rev. Richard Somers officiated at the candlelit can·dle·lit

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew William Bell, Jr. of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cody Abide, Sr. and Mrs. Andrew William Bell, Sr. and the late Mr. Bell, all of Greenville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Canker canker, small sore on the inside of the mouth. A canker appears as a shallow, whitish ulcer surrounded by a thin, red area. It is tender, sometimes painful, and may occur singly or as one of a group of sores.  Weathers IV of Greenville. He is the grandson of Mr. Robert Aldridge Ingram and the late Mrs. Ingram of Leland and Mrs. Virginia Ingram Weathers of Greenville and the late Mr. George Canker Weathers III of Greenville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of candlelight duchess satin. The fitted bodice was embellished with delicate Austrian crystals, and the beading beading,

The ring bearer was Richard Ingram Word, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at Cypress Hills Tennis Club in Greenville. Guests enjoyed the music of Hunter Gibson and the Gators of Jackson.
