Bell Sells 26 Twin-Engine Helicopters to Pakistan in Support of War on Terrorism.


FORT WORTH, Texas Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas, 18th-largest city in the United States[1], and voted one of "America’s Most Livable Communities.  -- In a deal valued at over $230 million, Bell Helicopter Bell Helicopter Textron is an American helicopter and tiltrotor manufacturer headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. A division of Textron, Bell manufactures military helicopter and tiltrotor products in the United States (primarily in and around Fort Worth as well as in Amarillo, , a Textron company, is delivering 26 Bell 412EP medium twin-engine helicopters and associated equipment to Pakistan. Bell, which delivered 9 of the aircraft to Pakistan last month, will deliver the rest over the next ten months.

The Bell 412EP has been a top performer around the world in a wide variety of military and civil missions. An excellent utility aircraft, the Bell 412EP helicopters will be used primarily for personnel transport, emergency medical service and disaster relief.

The Bell 412EP is in service with a number of nations including the United Kingdom which employs a dozen aircraft in its Defence Helicopter Flying School The Defence Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury, a Royal Air Force station near Shrewsbury, England, trains aircrew from all three of the Armed Forces. Training is undertaken on the Squirrel HT1 and for the Royal Air Force students the Griffin HT1 (a twin engine modern version . Bell has delivered 100 of its 412 helicopters to Canadian Forces, which use the aircraft for search-and-rescue and emergency medical transport, among other missions.
