Bell Microproducts Now Offers Viking Components' Memory and Modem Products.

, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 1998-- Viking Components, one of the world's leading manufacturers of computer memory, flash and modem products, Tuesday announced a new distribution agreement with Bell Microproducts.

Effective immediately Bell Microproducts will offer Viking's full line of memory products, ATA flash See flash memory.  cards, CompactFlash(TM) cards, SmartMedia (SSFDC (Solid State Floppy Disk Card) The original name for SmartMedia storage cards. See SmartMedia. ) cards, and fax/modems to original equipment manufacturers (OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. Viking is a worldwide manufacturer of the latest memory technologies such as 100MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. Sun Microelectronics has listed Viking as a compatible supplier of memory modules for the SparcENGINE Ultra AXi motherboard. Bell and Viking's partnership provides complete solutions to the large Sun customer base.
