Bell Microproducts Announces the Appointment of Mass Storage Marketing Vice President.

, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 1996--Bell Microproducts today announced the appointment of Rod Braido to the position of Vice President for Mass Storage Marketing.

In this newly created post, Braido will be responsible for all marketing and sales support activities associated with Bell Microproducts' mass storage business and will report to Phil Roussey, Senior Vice President for Computer Products at Bell Microproducts.

The Mass Storage program encompasses a complete offering of all mass storage product categories. Braido will manage Bell Microproducts' comprehensive product line of hard drives, tape drives, CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

Braido comes to Bell Microproducts from SyQuest Technology SyQuest Technology, Inc., now known as SYQT, Inc., was an early entrant into the removable hard disk market for personal computers. The company was started in 1982 by Syed Iftikar who named it partially after himself in a derivation of "Sy's Quest".  where he spent six years in various positions, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of SyQuest's Systems Division. Braido has more than 25 years of industry experience, having held sales, marketing, operations and manufacturing positions with Bell Industries, Hamilton/Avnet, MicroTech, National Semiconductor and SyQuest Technologies.
