Bell Canada International Inc.: KG Telecom Activates Asia's First GPRS Platform for Mobile Broadband Web Services.

The Taiwanese PCS (1) (Personal Communications Services) Refers to wireless services that emerged after the U.S. government auctioned commercial licenses in 1994 and 1995. This radio spectrum in the 1.  provider, KG Telecom, has become the first operator in Asia to activate a GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology. The GPRS system deployed by KG Telecom provides subscribers with instant, "always-on" IP connectivity at a packet data transmission rate of over 115 kbps - 10 times faster than conventional "second generation" wireless technology. As a result, KG Telecom will be able to provide advanced Web-based services, ranging from multimedia messaging to wireless corporate Internet, while eliminating annoying modem delays.
