, Inc., today announced that it will provide its Soneplex(TM) intelligent DS1 service delivery system to Bell Atlantic Network Services, Inc., under a multiyear contract. ADC's Soneplex system is an intelligent, flexible, cost-effective DS1 platform that simultaneously supports fiber and copper facilities from the same chassis. A common X.25-based network management interface allows centralized control and supervision of DS1 circuits from Bell Atlantic's network operations centers, ensuring superior service quality.

Bell Atlantic chose the Soneplex system because of its ability to provide the needed network, subscriber, and network monitoring and analysis (NMA NMA Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit

"By deploying the Soneplex system in its fiber-optic network, Bell Atlantic will be able to quickly and cost-effectively install and turn up new DS1 capabilities to meet the growing customer demand for DS1 circuits," said Lonnie Martin, president of ADC's Network Services Division.
