Bell: I'll take on Blears in the election; POLITICS.

ANTI-sleaze campaigner Martin Bell could stand against shamed Hazel Blears in the next General Election.

Salford MP Blears resigned from the Cabinet after she kept "flipping" her second home to claim maximum expenses and avoid tax.

Mr Bell, 70, will visit the North West next week to see if he has got enough support.

He told a website: "The expenses got me going. I get off the bus and people say, 'You should be in Parliament'.

"I think there can be a people's insurrection A rising or rebellion of citizens against their government, usually manifested by acts of violence.

Under federal law, it is a crime to incite, assist, or engage in such conduct against the United States.

Mr Bell was independent MP for Tatton after ousting Neil Hamilton Neil Hamilton may refer to:
