Belgian energy leader Tractebel expands its stake in the U.S. with launch of energy trading company in Houston.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 1997--

Trading by Tractebel Energy Marketing is a first for a European Utility in the U.S.

The chief executive officer of Tractebel S.A., the international Belgium-based utility and industrial services group, detailed today the company's expanding role in the worldwide energy business, including a bigger stake in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
