Belgian cyclist Gilbert wins Paris-Tours


Belgian Philippe Gilbert Philippe Gilbert (born July 5, 1982 in Verviers) is a Belgian road racing cyclist, known as a Classics specialist (cycling). A professional rider since 2003, Gilbert rides on the 2006 UCI ProTour for the Française des Jeux squad. , riding for Silence, on Sunday won the Paris-Tours semi classic race over 230km for the second straight year.

"I have always said I fear no one in the sprint when it comes down to a tough race," he added, paying tribute to his teammates for responding in style in the escape to set up his triumph.
