AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASIA), a leading provider of telecommunications and Internet software products and infrastructure solutions in China, announced today that it has signed a contract to provide Beijing Telecom with network management products and solutions for the customer's broadband network project. The contract is valued at more than US$1 million, of which software products and services account for over 60%.

A provincial subsidiary of China Telecom, Beijing Telecom services one of China's largest cities with a population of 12.6 million. AsiaInfo has participated in all three previous phases of Beijing Telecom's Internet infrastructure build-out as a software provider and network integrator. This most recent phase of construction will introduce broadband technology to Beijing Telecom's metropolitan network, thereby creating significant improvement in access speed for end users. AsiaInfo will provide high-end solutions and products to enhance network management capabilities.
