BEIJING -- The most prestigious concert for the Beijing government each year is the New Years Eve Concert performed at the Great Hall of the People The Great Hall of the People (Simplified Chinese: 人民大会堂; Traditional Chinese: 人民大會堂  overlooking Tiananmen Square Tiananmen Square, large public square in Beijing, China, on the southern edge of the Inner or Tatar City. The square, named for its Gate of Heavenly Peace (Tiananmen), contains the monument to the heroes of the revolution, the Great Hall of the People, the museum of  in Beijing, China.  Culture Company and Emma Entertainment. The concert bill includes performances by both Chinese and International artists. These include Beijing Symphony Orchestra Beijing Symphony Orchestra (Simplified Chinese: 北京交响乐团), founded in 1977, is a classical orchestra in based in Beijing, China. , Sarah Brightman Sarah Brightman (born August 14, 1960) is an English classical crossover soprano, actress and dancer.

Brightman debuted as a dancer in troupes such as Hot Gossip and later released a string of disco singles.
, Marco Berti, Andreas Haefliger, Ralf Weikert, Xue Wei, Zhang Ye and Tan Lihua.

There will be two performances on December 31, 2005. The performances begin at 7:30pm and 10:15pm. This will be the tenth anniversary of this important concert event. Tickets are available through Emma Ticket in Beijing at www.emma.cn and 8610.6553.5699.
