Beijing Airway Communications Selects ADAPTIX Broadband Wireless Products to Build China's First Pre-WiMAX Network.


SEATTLE -- Next Generation Wireless Network Will Provide Full Coverage Network to Beijing Digital Entertainment Demo Center

 technology and WiMAX solutions, today announced it has signed a joint agreement with Beijing Airway Communications Co. The Beijing Airway's Wi-Plus Network will be the first broadband wireless network of its kind in the ShiJinShan district.

This deployment will be the first pre-WiMAX standards system in China. The network will use core technology and FastSwitching/OFDMA-based equipment from ADAPTIX to form a cellular-architecture, full coverage network in the ShiJinShan area. The network will provide key infrastructure for the new Beijing Digital Entertainment Demo Center in ShiJinShan district, established jointly by the Beijing Science & Technology Committee and the ShiJinShan District Government.
