Behringer Harvard Funds Acquires Houston Office Building for REIT Portfolio; Company Continues to Invest in High Growth Markets.

DALLAS -- Behringer Harvard Funds announces the acquisition of Travis Tower, a highly desirable asset, located in close proximity to the new Houston METRORail tunnel system in the high growth area of West Houston. The property was acquired for Behringer Harvard REIT I, Inc., in October 2004, with participation by Behringer Harvard Funds 1031 Tenant in Common Exchange Program investors.

Travis Tower, a 21-story office building located at 1301 Travis Street, is a newly renovated 570,000 square foot building occupied by anchor tenant Center Point Energy, as well as Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson LLP, Edge Petroleum and Credit Lyonnaise. The building is currently 84 percent occupied.

Situated in the city's revitalization area of premier office buildings, retail centers, restaurants and entertainment destinations like Toyota Center and Minute Maid Ballpark, Travis Tower is near the Main Street entrance of Houston's new METRORail system. The property, renovated in 1999, received significant improvements to the lobby, commons areas, exterior areas, as well as a new parking garage addition. The parking garage is attached via underground walkway system to the building, and features 10 levels with 950 parking spaces.
