Based on Performance Unlimited Inc.'s top-selling "The Beginner's Bible," The Beginner's Bible New Testament Adventures Fun Set provides a unique, interactive way to tell inspirational biblical stories from the New Testament and is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $39.

"Old Testament Adventures received such a positive and enthusiastic response from both children and adults that we began work on New Testament Adventures almost immediately," said Daniel Elvester, vice president of sales and marketing for Gryphon Software.

"The Beginner's Bible has long been a leader in telling these well-loved stories to children in a language and format that is visually appealing and easy to understand. With the release of The Beginner's Bible Computer Fun Sets, we've taken this successful concept into the 90s, adding an interactive element that really brings the characters to life."

In the tradition of all Colorforms Computer Fun Set titles, New Testament Adventures is designed as an innovative, educational and interactive software program based on the Colorforms concept -- creating artwork by mixing and matching existing stick-on shapes and images and affixing them to various thematic backgrounds. Interactive capabilities such as sound, color and texture options and object resizing are integral features that provide endless possibilities for creating art on the computer.

Designed especially for children ages three to 10, new Testament Adventures features biblical characters from the New Testament, including Jesus, Joseph and Mary.

There are three different modules featuring three distinct times in Jesus' life: Baby Jesus features Jesus' life as a baby; Boy Jesus highlights Jesus' life at home with his parents and playing with other children; Miracles depicts the many miracles that Jesus performed, including turning water into wine, healing the blind and feeding the crowd with loaves and fishes loaves and fishes

The traditional Colorforms Play Shape module is also included. Each of the more than 100 shapes is an independent object and may be easily moved and resized by simply pointing and clicking. The color and texture of any given shape may be changed by choosing from a wide variety of colors not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed.

The Beginner's Bible New Testament Adventures Fun Set also offers 12 corresponding backgrounds from which to choose, such as the Manger manger

Sounds are also an integral feature of all Computer Fun Set titles. Specific objects have sounds associated with them so that each time an item is placed or clicked with the Speaker tool, a sound is played. For example, in the Baby Jesus module, a voice proclaims, "Look, it's Baby Jesus."
